Village Firehouse Apron
The Village of Rhinebeck is seeking sealed bids for the construction of the “Village Firehouse Apron”, Contract No. 27-5009-041 .

Bids will be received by the Village Clerk at the Village Hall until 11:00 a.m. local time on April 18, 2024 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as “Village of Rhinebeck, Village Firehouse Apron.”
All bids will be time and date stamped, and no proposals received after the deadline shall be considered.

The project consists of replacing the existing concrete Village of Rhinebeck Fire Department Apron. Work includes demolition, excavation, and disposal of existing asphalt and concrete apron and subbase, installation of subbase, pouring of heavy duty concrete, and pavement striping. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Prospective bidders must complete a one-time registration process on the web site in order to receive log-in credentials. Bidders must log in to the web site to download bidding documents for the project. Bidders will be added to the “planholders” or prospective bidders list upon downloading the bidding documents for the project.
A bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, and shall include a 5% bid bond. The successful bidder will also be required to provide performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the value of the contract. The time period for holding Bids is 45 days after opening of Bids.
This project is subject to New York State Prevailing Wage Rates, and a determination of the NYS Department of have been attached (PRC# 2024003721). It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract.
An optional pre-Bid conference will be held at the Village Hall, April 11, 2024 at 8:00 a.m.
