Energy Benchmarking 2022/2023

The Village of Rhinebeck has submitted its second energy benchmarking report as part of our work in NY State’s Climate Smart Communities and Clean Energy Communities programs. Benchmarking means tracking all of our municipal buildings’ energy usage and publicly reporting on it. We can then compare energy usage and costs year over year. As we and other municipalities share our data, we see how our buildings compare to similar ones. Then, as we make energy efficiency improvements, we can chart our progress.

Providing documentation of this benchmarking earns us a free energy study through the NYSERDA Clean Energy Communities program.

Special thanks to Deputy Clerk Krissy Denu, who inputs all of our energy bills.
