Notice to Residents

 A bear was spotted throughout the Village on June 16, 2021. The Department of Environmental Conservation was contacted and they advise that residents follow these guidelines to reduce bear attractants:

• Remove bird feeders by April 1

• Keep garbage in sealed garbage cans inside a sturdy building like a garage or shed

• Do not put your garbage out curbside the night before pick up. Put your garbage out jut before your scheduled pick up if possible.

• Do not feed your pets outside

• Do not place food outside for bears or other wildlife

If you see a bear, please stay away from it and allow it space to find its way back to the wild.
