Child Abuse Prevention Center

Multi-disciplinary teams including attorneys, medical professionals, therapists, police officers, probation officers, and caseworkers from Community and Family Services work to meet the needs of children who have been crime victims.

Programs related to behavioral health, community safety, and prevention serve victims, youth, and families, e.g., supervised visitation, individual and group therapy, psycho-educational programs for domestic abusers, violence prevention workshops. Also, free support for primary and secondary crime victims who file a claim with NYS Office of Victim Services.

Mental Health America of Dutchess County

Offers home and community-based services including advocacy and resource programs for adults, children, and families; care management for adults and children, CASA (court-appointed special advocates), supportive housing, workshops, support groups, parenting classes, support for families with incarcerated youth, recovery services, respite programs, sibling support, and more.

Free, confidential short- term supportive services for county youth ages 4 to 21 who are dealing with personal, family, or school difficulties. And, workshops to community and youth groups on various topics such as diversity education, dealing with anger, communication, and relationships.

Dutchess County Office For The Aging

Meal delivery and grocery shopping services for homebound seniors, Monday through Friday. Office for the Aging staff will conduct an in-home needs assessment ensuring that eligibility requirements are met. Service may be short-term (6-8 weeks) or long-term.
